Very interesting set. I have lost any words that came to me with these pictures so cannot say with any certainty that this Robert Monteith was the same Captain Robert Monteith that you may read about on the Internet. I will confine my comments to the bagpipe only. It appears to be cocuswood with bone mounts. The style suggests very early 19th century.
