Henry Starck introduced his Brian Boru bagpipe in the early 1900's. To be absolutely certain, it was a marvelous instrument. With a bass, baritone, and tenor the harmonics were stunning. I had the pleasure of restoring a set and, of course, I could not resist firing them up. Sadly, the keyed chanter was not present.
Starck made (and branded) this bagpipe for various other companies as well. The Brian Boru bagpipe can be found in two style; with drones in a common stock or with drones in individual stocks.
