This is an unusual but very well-made bagpipe, probably from the mid 1800's.  Exceptional styling and craftsmanship.

When these came to me, the external whipping was very old and was loose, frayed, rotten and serving no purpose. The owner wanted to retain the spirit of the old repair with new external whipping which was done with braided 40 lb test line. At last report with was holding up without issue.
