Glen, George

The set along the top (below) was said to have been made by George Glen. A stamped chanter accompanied the drones. The set along the bottom belongs to the note at the right. I encountered this project years ago and just had a feeling that it wasn’t one of the Glens we see often. It may be a George Glen instrument.

This is what I know. Although both sets reflect “Glen” or “Edinburgh” styling, profiles are move robust, especially the stocks. Without the stamped chanter I would have simply put these into the “unknown” exhibit, however I’m willing to take a leap of faith here and attribute them to George Glen (with fingers crossed).
