A very old, interesting, outstanding, but somewhat odd looking bagpipe. This was played by Nettie Patterson when she was a member of our Braemar organization in St. Catharines. She was a student of Donald MacNeil’s during the 1940’s.

Donald was “Blind” Archie MacNeil’s son and told Nettie to buy this “used” bagpipe as “it was a good one.”  Donald was right.  This is an excellent bagpipe.  Note the unusual profiles. I’ve never seen another like it. Nettie told stories of going over to the house for lessons with Donald. Archie would ask Nettie to play something and then make up harmonies on the spot. Wonderful times.
